Anorexia Nervosa & Related Eating
Disorders, Inc: ANRED is a nonprofit organization that provides
information about anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating
disorder, compulsive exercising, and other less well-known food
and weight disorders. Its homepage offers definitions, warning signs
and information on treatment and recovery.

Online: Maintained by an individual, this site offers information,
news, and tips about eating disorders and their symptoms, causes,
side effects and treatment. It also provides likes to related sites.
KidsHealth: KidsHealth.org,
created by The Nemours Foundation, is devoted to providing the latest
health information for kids, teens, and parents… with information
on infections, behavior and emotions, food and fitness, surgeries
and growing up healthy. Here you’ll find links, the location
of Nemours Children’s Clinics and a “health tip of the
day.”
LD Online (Learning Disabilites):
LD OnLine is a service of The Learning Disabilities Project in association
with The Coordinated Campaign for Learning Disabilities. The site
offers in-depth information about LD, the latest news and reports,
message groups and resources for finding help.
Toxic
Shock Syndrome: Basic information about Toxic Shock Syndrome
(TSS) – including symptoms -- from a Mayo Clinic physician.
Something Fishy - This
commercial site offers information about eating disorders including
anorexia and bulimia, an Eating Disorder FAQ, a list of signs and
symptoms, chat rooms and online support.
Tobacco Free Kids:
The Campaign is the largest non-government initiative to protect
kids from tobacco addiction. Its homepage offers statistics and
fact sheets, in depth articles, ideas for kids and adults to get
involved with the campaign, kid-friendly anti-smoking materials
and even excerpts from documents from tobacco companies. You’ll
also find an online form that you can fill-out to send a letter
to your state representative.
Teen Help: Teen
Help provides a national toll free hotline designed to assist parents,
child care professionals, and others in locating appropriate resources
for the treatment of struggling adolescents. This page gives you
the toll-free hotline number.
